Jesus loves you.  That phrase as seen on bumper stickers on cars and trucks around the nation.  Jesus loves you is not a phrase a person usually debates.  It is a generally accepted thing to say.  Sure many people will simply see/hear this and simply roll their eyes, myself included.  Have you ever thought about it this.  Jesus loves you.  He doesn’t have to, he really would probably be just fine without us.  But yet these bumper stickers insist that Jesus loves you.  Why?

Because the people who put these bumper stickers on their vehicles want us to know that Jesus loves you.  They could just say I love you but no, they would rather tell you about this guy (Jesus) who you can’t see, touch, listen to, or smell loves you.  Why do they want you to know that Jesus loves you because they themselves feel so blessed/loved by Jesus that they want to share that with you.  They want you to be able to share in that love with them.  Now all of this probably didn’t occur to them consciously.  However it still happened.  Isn’t it great that people who have something good  want to share it with people.  especially when they have something that great.  So the next time we see one of those bumper stickers instead of rolling our eyes lets just smile and give a friendly wave.  After all those people (and more importantly Jesus) love us.
